Features and specs:

Universal app
JRemote is a universal iOS application. The application will run on both iPhone/iPod touch as well as iPad’s. Each version is optimized for it`s screen size.

Navigation
JRemote uses the navigation setup from JRMC itself. This allows you to customize the navigation menu and sub-menus from within the JRiver application.
- Multiple view modes (list, imagelist, thumbnails)

- Virtual remote for controlling theater view

DLNA and zones
Use JRemote to control all your DLNA supported devices. Any device supported in JRMC can be controlled from JRemote by switching to that specific zone.
You can link and unlink zone for multi-room playback.

Easy setup
Connecting to your computer is fully automatic, no need to enter your IP-address and Port number.
You only need to enter the access key found in JRMC`s option panel (We do provide an option for you to add IP-address and Port manually if needed).

- Wake-On-LAN is supported if you provide your machines MAC address. (Automatic when adding a server by access key)
- JRemote is CarPlay enabled.

Pros and cons of JRemote app for iPhone and iPad

JRemote app good for

Fantastic and helpful app when listening your music on your sofa, no need to leave both place and headphones to change the album using the computer. Need JRiver to work properly.
Great, fine, Speeder than the holder version, well designed. But where is the current playlist ?
Best remote app for JRiver Media Center and in my opinion the best media controller app at all. Now with new IOS 7 design, looks great. Good UI optimizations with version 3.0. Playlist slides now from the right side, perfect!!
The App works great and the look and touch is very good. It would be perfect if for listeners of classical music there would also be a button for selecting the conductor.
Loads artwork faster, better customization features, Even better than iTunes! What more is there to say.
But i read the positive reviews and couldnt help myself. JRiver just sounds Better and having such a fantastic controller to run it is a huge win. Very snappy controls, clean and smooth interface. I love this app.

Some bad moments

So cool and worked until day 2. Then I could not connect. At this price it should be easier than this.
Need to uninstall and reinstall once a week because it refuses to connect. Reinstall fixes it for another few days... Previous versions were okay under older iOS though Sent email to support and got zero response. Very frustrating app.
Does not work with iOS 9. Very disappointing that the app was not tested with iOS 9. It just crashes.
Current version has a bug. If you change media server ip the app will not let you connect to the new ip, just gets stuck searching for the old one. Has been like this for weeks now. Sad.
I want to like this app s much but it is a jumble of buggy issues. Why can not I select the folder I want to play music from on this remote app? So many issues, when it works once in a while it is awesome. However it get to be too bothersome the rest of the time. Moving on!
Ive noticed on the recent version a "Remote" choice on the menu. What is it supposed to do and how do you use it? I get so tired of JRivers attitude of just buy the damn thing and figure it out yourself. Ive used this app for ages to stream music to a Squeezebox Touch & a Squeezebox Radio but that doesnt work anymore. Is there a way to go back to a version of this app that works?
